Viaje, led by Andre Farkas, debuted the Zombie line in 2011, drawing inspiration from the apocalyptic, radioactive theme of the brand’s Skull and Bones WMD cigars. Since 2014, the line has evolved through numerous versions, with annual releases featuring slight changes in components and vitolas.
A fitting extension of the concept, the Zombie Antidote was first introduced in 2018, returned in 2021, and reappeared in 2024. This Nicaraguan puro is produced at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras, and comes in a singular 6 1/4 x 44 Lonsdale format with a tapered Figurado foot. True to its name, the cigars are packaged in containers styled after prescription medication.
