For this year’s Birthday Blend, Viaje has announced a 45-count box—“one for good luck”—with the bonus cigar wrapped in gold foil and finished with a San Andrés Maduro wrapper.
First introduced in 2016, the line has consistently been produced in a 6 x 52 torpedo format, chosen for its resemblance to a lit birthday candle. In 2022, Viaje offered two versions: the “regular” edition, wrapped in Nicaraguan Criollo ’98, and the Birthday Blend Gold, which featured a San Andrés Maduro wrapper. Both blends used Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
