While the line enjoyed success, even being named the official cigar of the White House during the Nixon administration, it was discontinued in the late 2000s, with only occasional special releases. In 2023, Joya de Nicaragua fully resurrected the Clasico brand, and in 2024, they introduced the Medio Siglo—a slightly bolder, more robust version that replaces the original's Connecticut wrapper with an Ecuadorian Habano Criollo, enhancing its character.
