Originally a Cuban brand founded in the mid-19th century, Lord Byron cigars were created by cousins who established a small factory near Havana. The brand quickly gained popularity and enjoyed lasting success, but financial difficulties in the 1930s led to its closure. Nearly ninety years later, Nelson Alfonso, the great-great-great-grandson of one of the founders, revived the brand through Selected Tobacco Company. The Byron 21st Century features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and an undisclosed origin. This medium-bodied cigar offers a complex flavor profile with notes of bread, cedar, pepper, and aged tobacco, making it a refined choice for aficionados.
