Originally a Cuban brand from the mid-19th century, Lord Byron cigars were crafted by two cousins who operated a small factory near Havana. The cigars quickly gained popularity, leading to generations of success. However, after financial difficulties in the 1930s, Ricardo Alfonzo, the grandson of one of the cousins, was forced to sell the brand. Nearly ninety years later, his great-grandson, Nelson Alfonso, revived the brand through Selected Tobacco Company. The Byron 21st Century features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and an undisclosed location. This medium-bodied cigar offers a rich flavor profile with notes of bread, cedar, pepper, and aged tobacco, delivering a sophisticated and enjoyable smoking experience.
