The original Lord Byron brand was established in 1848 by cousins José and Eusebio Alfonso, who opened a small factory in Santiago de Las Vegas, Havana, Cuba. Named after the famous English poet and devoted smoker, the brand quickly gained popularity for its quality. However, due to the Great Depression in the 1930s, they were forced to shut down operations. In 1998, Nelson Alfonso, the great-great-great-grandson of one of the founders, revived the brand as Byron Cigars.
Part of the Century series, the Byron 21st Century is a medium-bodied cigar that showcases a complex flavor profile and elegant presentation. It features an Ecuadorian Shadegrown wrapper, an undisclosed binder, and a blend of Dominican and undisclosed tobaccos, offering a sophisticated smoking experience that pays homage to its rich heritage.
