Originally a Cuban brand from the mid-19th century, Lord Byron cigars were crafted by two cousins in a modest factory near Havana. The original cigars quickly gained popularity, leading to generational success. However, financial difficulties eventually forced Ricardo Alfonzo, one of the cousins' grandsons, to sell the brand. Nearly ninety years later, Ricardo's great-grandson, Nelson Alfonso, revived the brand through his Selected Tobacco Company. Byron 20th Century cigars are produced in limited quantities, aged for a full year in dedicated aging rooms. Each cigar showcases a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a disclosed binder, and a filler blend that includes Peruvian, Dominican, and a secret component, creating a rich and complex flavor profile.
